Ingredients
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Feel free to swap out the pecans for any nut of your choice, or omit them altogether if you prefer. My daughters, Olivia and Isabella, love adding a handful of crushed pretzels for a salty twist—just like their Nonna Rosa used to do with her own secret recipes.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
- Add the graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, and salt to the bowl. If using, add the chopped pecans. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated, and the mixture is sticky and holds together.
- Using your hands, form small balls approximately one inch in diameter. If the mixture is too sticky, wet your hands slightly to make rolling easier.
- Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to set.
- Once set, enjoy your Moose Farts with family and friends, or store them for later indulgence.
Remember, there’s no need to rush here—cooking is about savoring the process, much like how my grandmother used to cherish every moment spent in her garden, hand-picking herbs for her famous marinara sauce.
